Biographical and Professional Information

Linda Sommer Farley - One of the most beautiful aspects of life is the relationship and love between a mother and child. To go through life without a mother's love can be very difficult. An abusive grandfather and mother were traumatic parts of my life. At a very young age I had the responsibility of raising my younger brother and sister when no one was home. Being poor I was faced with many challenges during and beyond my school years due to poverty. In my book - A Childhood Taken Away by a Mother and Grandfather - I describe the difficulties and accomplishments that I have experienced in the painful and sometimes humorous segments of my life. I wrote this book with the purest of intentions - to in some way help others. I'm a great grandmother and I continue to write about my life experiences. "Never think that it is too late to accomplish something that is important to you. Be true to yourself." Farley is very involved in the community and has received many philanthropic Awards including but not limited to:

WICS Volunteer 20 award from the television station
