Three women loved him, but one by one, they each broke his heart. The Bittersweet Cycle of Loves Past, by author, James R. Helm, is a trilogy of love stories for romantics everywhere. A common theme painfully unites Helm's three stories, namely that outside forces can either make or break a relationship. Helm shares his intimate loves with warmth, tenderness, and a note of sadness. Helm takes readers on a journey that begins with a romantic young, black man's search for love, which he finds first in high school and then unexpectedly in a foreign country, while serving in the military. This intimate journey continues as James matures into his forties. The Bittersweet Cycle of Loves Past offers readers a glimpse into the heart of a romantic man's bittersweet encounters as he searches for true love.
