Burke has been a lifelong resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago. He graduated from Quigley Preparatory Seminary in Chicago and earned his Bachelor's Degree from DePaul University in Chicago. He also received his Juris Doctor Degree from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago.
Biographical and Professional Information
Burke is the Dean of the Chicago City Council. He served as Alderman of Chicago's 14th Ward for thirty five years. He is a recognized expert on city budget matters amd is the Chairman of the City Council Committee on Finance.
