Since 2005, Colander has been the Associate Publisher and Editor, Niche Publications with The Times Media Group of Northwest Indiana (NWI). She is in charge of niche magazine division, which includes BusINess, Get Healthy, NWI Parent, Shore Bride and Shore Magazines.Colander gradutated from Purdue University Calumet with a MS in technology and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her BS in journalism. In June 2011, she was named the top influential woman of the year in the media/marketing division at the inaugural Influential Women of Northwest Indiana Awards Banquet.
