Ed Smith received his Masters Degree from Northeastern Illinois University and served in the Chicago City Council for 27 years.
Biographical and Professional Information
Before becoming alderman, Smith was a school teacher and worked for the Chicago Economic Development Corporation. In 1983 he was elected alderman and stayed in that position until his retirement in 2010. He has authored two books and is also the executive producer of the film, “Love Relations.”
