Biographical and Professional InformationIn addition to being a teacher, Dan Burns is fortunate to be able to pursue a challenging and rewarding career as a writer. His first non-fiction book, The First 60 Seconds (www.thefirstsixtyseconds.com), was published in May of 2009 and followed with an eighteen-month public speaking and book tour. It was a wonderful opportunity to talk with thousands of people about how to be more effective in their job search and career efforts.In 2013, Burns released his first novel, a contemporary family drama titled Recalled To Life, and his first collection of short stories, No Turning Back. His new novel, A Fine Line, is a crime mystery set in his hometown of Chicago. In addition to writing novels and short stories, Burns also writes stories for the screen and stage.
