Biographical and Professional Information

Cornelia Lynde Meigs was an American author and educator. She began her career in 1915 and continued to write into the 1970s. She wrote over 24 children's books, many of them covering different periods of American history. Meigs was educated at Bryn Mawr College, where she taught for 18 years between 1932 and 1950. She lived in Havre de Grace, Maryland, at the time of her death in 1973.
