[Isl-askaway] Helpful? Google custom search for US government and .edu pages

I was working on a virtual question about coastal ecosystems in the Pacific NW today and wanted to limit results to US Government and Univ. sites.  Clearly, google has a perfectly good quick Goverment search, but I really wanted both goverment and .edu sources in one place.  So, I put together a crude Google custom search that kind of does this:

Right now, it only searches .gov, .edu and .us.  The .us clearly is the weak link in the chain, but initial searches showed that most .us results were coming from state government sites, etc.  I may eventually take the time to turn that into proper state domains (.il.us, .nj.us, etc.), but it works nicely enough for the moment.
