<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black">Here at BTBL in Sacramento, we have a studio tech that preps most of the book with our narration teams, and does the markup. We have a librarian that works with the studio tech to come up with
Book Announcements for each book, including the annotation. The annotation is proofread over email by a small group of staff before being finalized. The announcements are printed and stored with the book. Finally, we have a Reader Advisor (me) that does the
final QA for the book—checking markup, checking the properties, selecting the subjects, submitting the completion forms, editing the Voyager record, and finally posting to BARD and approving the post. By far, the biggest delay is waiting for the BCS to post
the Voyager record (this can take several weeks). Having one person handle the QA side of things means consistency in the work and accuracy. Attached is the final checklist I go through with QA for each book and the HABC properties example. Hope anything
