Hi all,

After attending a wonderful author event, I was getting excited to consider
learning about graphic novel description and recording the March trilogy
here...only to find that NLS beat us tho the punch and has it in process!
That's awesome!
I'd love to hear more about what best practices you guys are using to
describe the images in this GN. It could open up possibilities for some
other classics.

ALSO, we're looking into recording Make magazine (with descriptions of
photos, diagrams, charts) and possible a TASC prep guide if we can't get
Bookshare to take that on (we'd consult with testing agency and
Commission).

Do any of you record things using extensive description? What training did
you take for that? What tips or feedback from patrons do you have?

in looking around the internet this is what I found so far:

Tactile Comic Book: http://www.hallo.pm/life/

Comics Empower audio description: http://ec2-52-7-238-85.
compute-1.amazonaws.com/ (you can highlight the page to see the text on the
first page if you're not using a screenreader, otherwise links don't seem
to work for me (sigh) but it's written about by Perkins and Vice.)

Comic Book Script Archive including scene descriptions

Den of Geek Matthew Shifrin: comicsfortheblind at gmail.com for brainstorming
later

Thank you in advance and have a fabulous Thanksgiving whether you're dining
with family or watching a lot of Netflix.
